STORYTIME ABOUT ASYLUM 16 - RACHEL MINER !

so, I was at Asylum 16 this weekend and  besides having the pleasure to meet my absolutely lovely friends, I also got to meet Rachel.
First of, it is impossible not to fall in love with her. She took as much time as possible with everyone during photo ops and it was a beautiful thing to watch but even more so, to experience.
I was so unprepared and I didn’t wanna hold the queue so I didn’t tell her as much as I wanted to during the photo but we both look like a beacon sorta and I just love the photo.

Autographs is a whole other story. I went through what I wanted to say for aaaaages. Again Rachel listened to each single person with such an honest interest, like.. ugh I love her. When it was my turn and I started saying that she is such an inspirational person, she took my hands because I started tearing up and the first thing she said was “You are so wonderful.”
I told her how her stength and positivity really keep me going and that she’s stronger than I could ever imagine to be. I told her how glad I am that she is at Asylum with all of us and shares all of this with us and gives us the opportunity to meet her (at this point I was full on crying and Rachel could barely hold it back, and she’s still holding my hands). I also of course said that because of her portrayal of Meg, she immediately became one of my all time favourite characters and that I love her so much. She was constantly thanking me and then she said something I never thought would happen like this. She wanted me to come behind the table to give her a hug. During the hug she kept thanking me and telling me that I’m great and how much she appreciates all of this and oh my god.. I still can’t believe it to be honest.

By the way, she was there both days of the con, doing tons of photos and even more autographs. She did two panels with nicki (in different halls). Our panel was just so sweet and joyful and I loved listening to them both.

Rachel never once distanced herself from anyone. She always kept going and going and I was so amazed by her endurance and so happy she was at the con with us.
